The Encore Musical Theatre Company will be featured on the upcoming episode of the acclaimed television program “Under the Radar” on PBS this week. “Under the Radar” is a popular show that showcases some of the most exciting things happening in the state. The show’s host, Tom Daldin, takes viewers on a journey across Michigan to discover unique and noteworthy businesses and events.
The Encore Musical Theatre Company’s episode of “Under the Radar” will feature some footage from the company’s recent production of Once on This Island and an interview with two people on The Encore’s team who work tirelessly to make The Encore a success: Co-founder and Artistic Director, Dan Cooney, and his wife Jessica Grové. The segment will give viewers insight into what it takes to run a year-round professional theatre company while highlighting the Encore’s significance as a noteworthy business in the community.

The Encore Musical Theatre Company is renowned for its high-quality professional productions and exceptional performers, who hail from all over the country to perform on their stage, making it one of the premier musical theater companies in the state of Michigan. Their productions have received critical acclaim and many awards over its 15 Years in Dexter, Michigan, but perhaps the most exciting thing for the community of Dexter was its recent move into the historic Copeland Building where the company has had the opportunity to spread its wings and soar.
