DEXTER, MI — This November, The Encore Musical Theatre Company, Southeast Michigan’s premier professional musical theater, invites supporters of the arts to maximize their impact with its “Fall for the Arts” $50,000 Match Campaign. For every dollar donated to The Encore through the end of the year, an anonymous donor will match contributions up to $50,000, doubling the power of each donation to support high-quality productions in Dexter, Michigan.
As Dexter’s beloved professional theatre company, The Encore’s mission is to enrich the local arts scene and create unforgettable experiences on stage at the historic Copeland school building. Co-founder and Artistic Director Dan Cooney, together with his wife, Broadway actor and Marketing Director Jessica Grové, expressed their gratitude to The Encore’s supporters in a recent letter. “The Encore is more than a theatre to us; it’s where stories come alive, where artists flourish, and where audiences feel inspired,” they shared.
With the Fall for the Arts Match Campaign, The Encore is looking to ensure the future of professional musical theatre in Dexter by supporting essential elements such as hiring top-tier talent, enriching educational programs, and maintaining the theatre’s welcoming and intimate setting.
