Washtenaw County, Michigan – May 5, 2021

The Encore Musical Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Old National Bank has joined their growing Our Next Stage Capital Campaign with a generous contribution. The Midwest-based regional bank, operated by Old National Bancorp, pledged $25,000 toward The Encore’s renovation of the historic Copeland Building in downtown Dexter, Michigan.

“We are thrilled to have Old National’s support,” said Artistic Director Dan Cooney, “and how exciting to have this large, postern sized check presented to us in our new space!” As Cooney sees it, “Our goal of creating a state-of-the-art performance venue here in Dexter is both an investment in the local economy and an important part of post-pandemic recovery.” “We are grateful for the long-term partnership that Old National and The Encore have had and are thrilled to make an investment that impacts the entire community,” says Jamie Guise, Senior Vice President of Community Engagement of Old National Bank.

Todd Clark, Community Banking CEO for Old National, sees The Encore as “a tremendous asset,” adding “The Encore has been a great addition to the greater Dexter Community by providing worldclass musical theater and greatly enhancing the vibrancy of Dexter’s local economy.”

The Encore continues to seek partnerships in their $2.5 million Our Next Stage Capital Campaign, which has recently reached its halfway mark.
